Celebrate Every Day!

 

Hello! My name is Callie and I want to give you a big, big welcome to my new blog "Sprinkles to Celebrate"!! This was born out of many years of praying, thinking, inspirations, failed blog attempts, and searching for a place to share. I could never find one niche for what I wanted to share. Would I be a lifestyle blogger, food blogger, craft blogger, fashion blogger (probably no on that one), Christian Faith/devotional blogger...? No label seemed to encompass what I wanted to share. There was something that I truly wanted to share and kept looking for a space to share it. I wanted to share the joy of Jesus and all of the gifts in my life from Him. I'll tell you with full disclosure: I am a God lover and my life is so much sweeter with Jesus in it! That does not mean it is easier, but the messy bits are so much better and the victories (big and small) are so much sweeter with Jesus!

Each morning during my quiet time with the Lord, I always take a few moments to write down some of the things I am thankful for and that bring me joy. Oftentimes I am thankful for sunshine, flowers, and bird songs! Other times I am thankful for a quiet place to study the Word, a clean home to live in, good food to eat, a family I love, and friends to do life with. Life is such a gift and each moment is a treasure, as we are not promised tomorrow (Proverbs 27:1 & James 4:13-14). Why not take the time to treasure the small things in life? Because each day is a gift from Jesus, I like to think of all the extra wonderful things as the sprinkles on the cake. (I love a delicious piece of cake with sprinkles.) I don't know about you, but I love to celebrate just about anything! Nothing makes me happier than to do something to celebrate (bake something, go get a sweet treat, do a fun activity, have a fun movie night, etc.). Something that is always worth celebrating is the name of Jesus and the abundance of blessings and goodness we have because of Him! Would you join me in finding the sprinkles of everyday to celebrate?

I'm so, so glad you're here! You will find a variety of things here: recipes (dairy free mostly), devotional thoughts, occasional crafts/diys, etc. I hope you will come visit me again to see what sprinkles I am celebrating!
